Notre étude a porté sur le cycle de reproduction de M. maculilabris dans la ville de Kisangani.Nous avons travaillé Sur 233 spécimens de lézards regroupant 116 femelles et 117 mâles. cette étude s'est étendue sur une période allant de Mai 1985 à Juin 1986.Nous avons constaté que:
- Les pontes d'oeufs sont continues au cours de toute l'année.
- La fonction ovarienne est indépendante des fluctuations climatiques
- L'activité sexuelle mâle est liée aux éléments du climat
