Le présent travail est le résultat d'une étude menée de janvier à juin 2015, dans le Quartier CIMESTAN, situé à 4km en amont des chutes Wagenia.
L'étude a consisté à un inventaire de la biodiversité aviaire du quartier CIMESTAN. La méthode utilisée pour échantillonner les oiseaux par piégeage aux filets japonais dans les différents habitats.
Nous avons ainsi capturé 313 spécimens d'Oiseaux regroupés en 36 espèces, 11 familles et 3 ordres. L'ordre des Passeriformes est plus représenté et compte32 espècesregroupées en 9 familles.
Sur le plan de la diversité numérique, l'espèce Ploceus pelzelni est numériquement plus abondante(18,53%.) suivie d'Andropadus virens(13,42%)et de Lonchura bicolov(10,22%).
La répartition spatiale de capture montre que les oiseaux sont plus capturés dans la jachère à Lantana camara (24,9%) suivie de la jachère à Nephroleis bisserata (23%) et la forêt Bambusa vulgaris(22,1%).
