Les oiseaux constituent un des plus vastes groupes des Vertébrés à morphologie générale peu variée (Upoki, 1997). Cependant, malgré l’uniformité anatomique de leurs corps, certaines adaptations qu’a connues ce groupe ont conduit à un mode de vie diversifié, faisant des uns des aquatiques, des autres des terrestres non volants, des arboricoles en majorité et par conséquent, munis des ailes bien développées pour le vol et des pattes aux orteils bien adaptés pour le perchage (Upoki, 1997).
