D'avril à décembre 2000 Uuin exclu) nous avons procédé à l'inventaire systématique de l'avifaune de l'île Mbie. Cet inventaire a permis d'identifier 69 espèces répartie en 58 genres, 24 familles et 13 espèces.
Les observations écoéthologiques ont permis de classer les espèces suivant les biotopes fréquentés.
Le résultat de la systématique a été comparé avec ceux des îles KONGOLO et TUNDULU. Cette comparaison a permis de ressortir les différences et des ressemblances dans la comparaison avifaunistiques des îles.
