Le présent travail concerne l'inventaire des Lépidoptères Rhopalocères de Masako. De 838 spécimens capturés dans : 3 biotopes (Forêt primaire, forêt second8ire et Jachère) de Mai à Décembre 1991, 74 espèces ont été recensées. Elles appartiennent à 8 familles (Acraeidae, Danaidae, Lycaenidae, Nymphelidae, Papilionidae, Pieridae, Riodinidae et Satyridae).
Les familles des Nymphelidae et Lycaenidae sont quantitativement et qualitativement les plus représentatives du millieu. Elles sont suivies des Pieridae et Acraeidae. Les autres familles sont moins représentatives.
L'approche écologique montre que le jachère abrite numériquement plus de papillons que les forêts primaire et seconda1re (du point de vue de familles).
