Cette étude révèle que Rana occipitalis, Ptychadena mascareniensis et P.subsigillata sont les Ranidae présentement consommés à Kisangani.Les crues, la sécheresse, la pleine lune, la température durant la sécheresse et les précipitations sont respectivement les facteurs limitant et favorisant la capture des Ranidae.La faune amphibienne de Kisangani ne constitue presque pas un apport supplémentaire en aliments carnés pour la population locale.
