Le présent travail porte sur l'étude taxonomique des Marantaceae des sous-régions de Kisangani et de la Tshopo.
Au cours de ceci, nous avons inventorié 11 genres, 25 espèces et 4 variétés d'une même Marantocloa congensis (K
Schum) Léon, et Mull. Deux espèces paraissent être nouvelles (Marantochloa sp. et Sarcophrynium sp.) pour notre flore.
Ces taxons ont été décrits, leurs types morphologiques, types biologiques, types de diaspores, type d'habitat et éléments phytogéographiques ont été données.
Pour reconnaître ces espèces, nous avons établie une clé de détermination pour les genres et des clés de détermination des espèces pour les genres ayant au moins 2 espèces. Enfin la grande majorité de nos espèces ont été illustrées.
