Le présent travail porte sur l'étude taxonomique des espèces du genres Ficus qui croissent dans la ville de Kisangani.
L'étude sur le terrain a abouti à l'inventaire de 42 taxa parmi lesquels 37 ont été déterminés, 3 reconnus comme nouveaux pour la Science et 2 autres non déterminés.
Des clés de détermination des espèces tenant séparément compte de caractères végétatifs et génératifs ont été élaborées pour chaque sous-genre étudié.
Les conditions écologiques particulières caractérisant les Ficus à Kisangani ont été mises en évidence.
L'étude chronologique a concerné l'analyse des éléments phytogéographiques identifiés et la répartition des Ficus dans la ville de Kisangani.
Enfin, les résultats ont été discutés en tenant compte de nos propres considérations et observations, en mettant en évidence l'apport de ce travail dans la connaissance du genre Ficus et en comparant le Ficus étudiés à ceux d'autres flores.
