L'approche de cette recherche vise à recueillir des informations fiables sur le coefficient moyen de forme Pancovia harmisiana dans la réserve forestière de Yangambi.
La technique appliquée en matière d'inventaire s'est basée sur le principe d'un inventaire systématique des pieds à Dhp≥ à 10 cm sur une superficie de deux hectares dans le dispositif permanent de Yangambi.
Les résultats des tests statistiques montrent que notre espèce d'étude vient en première position après inventaire dans le dispositif expérimental et le coefficient moyen de forme de Pancovia harmisiana dans les conditions de Yangambi est de 0,76, ce qui démontre que notre espèce a un bois de forme cylindrique.
