Cette étude portant sur rélaboration des tarifs de cubage et de biomasse de Brachystegia laurentii dans le peuplement mono dominant a été réalisée dans la réserve forestière de Yangambi.
L'échantillonnage était constitué de 113 arbres de Brachystegia laurentii. Le volume du fut a été calculé selon la méthode de cubage par billon successif à l'aide de la formule de Huber.
Les équations de régression sont:
- Volume fut
vol (en m3) = 0,000031271 x D2,06864
- Biomasse fût
biomasse fût (en Kg) = 0,10912 x D4,7632
- Biomasse totale
Biomasse totale (en Kg) = 4,7632 x D4,7632
Après analyse statistique une seule équation (modèle puissance Y=axb) a été retenue en vue de la construction des tables de cubage en fonction du diamètre à hauteur de la poitrine (dhp).
Il s'agit évidemment d'un tarif local (Yangambi) a une entrée pour l'essence Brachystegia laurentii et n'est applicable que pour le dhp variant entre 10-125cm.
