Le travail étudie la régénération naturelle de 9 essences commerciales dans la réserve forestière de Masako.
23 placettes de 0.5 ha soit 11,5 ha ont été inventoriées.
Les résultats obtenus après analyse montrent que :
- La densité moyenne des plantules est de 22,52 à I hectare,
- La densité, la plus élevée est de 9,36 plantules/ha pour Guarea cedrata, 5,39 plantules/ha pour Pericopsis elata, 4,6 plantules/ha pour Terminalia superba et 1,83 plantules/ha pour Enntandrophragma candollei ;
- La forêt dense à Gilbertiodendron dewevrei a une densité de 30,67 plantules/ha, la forêt hétérogène 23,75 plantules/ha et la forêt marécageuse, 16 plantules/ha.
