Cette étude a pour but réiaboration d'un tarif de cubage local à une entrée de Brachystegia laurentii dans la forêt de Biaro.
Un échantillon de 120 tiges de Brachystegia laurentii ayant au moins 10 cm de diamètre à hauteur de poitrine a été retenu.
Le volume fût observé (de l'échantillon) avait été calculé sur base de 3 variables : le diamètre à hauteur poitrine (DHP), le diamètre au fin bout (DFB) et la hauteur fût (HF).
Quant à l'estimation du volume, nous avons recouru à 6 modèles de régression : linéaire, logarithmique, puissance, exponentielle, inverse et quadratique.
En vue de les ajuster, quelques paramétres statistiques ont été vérifiés ; le coefficient de détermination, l'écart type résiduel et le coefficient de variation résiduelle.
Le tarif de cubage local à une entrée de Brachystegia laurentii retenu est de modèle puissance : Y = 15,22 DHP2,78 (r=0,97)
