Un essai de scarification des graines d'Eucalyptus grandis a été mené à Kisangani.
Les traitements comprennent trois types de température (température ambiante, température de 50°c et température de 100°c) avec trois durées de trempage( 1',3',5').
Les résultats obtenus révèlent un taux de germination de 17,33% pour les graines traitées à la température de 100°c-3'. Ce taux est qualifié de très faible selon DE LA MENSBRUGE(1966).
La vitesse de germination est égalementtrès faible soit 1,11%.
